So you’re looking for a new therapist.
Whether this is your first voyage into counseling, another try after a negative experience, or a regular part of your self-care routine, starting therapy takes courage. Even in the darkest of nights, just wondering if things can be different is an ember of hope; I'm so glad you're here.
In working together, I'll help you disentangle the thoughts, judgments, and messages whose weight over the years have severed access to authentic feeling and being. The entirety of yourself is invited, and in the space we share, your thoughts and feelings will never be too much (or not enough).
Scope of Practice
I have extensive experience working with clients with diverse clinical needs, including substance use, personality disorders, dual diagnosis, and medical/health needs. My clinical interests and expertise include:
LGBTQI experience, expression, relationships, and exploration
Psychodynamics (how our early lives impact who we are and how we live now)
Depression and anxiety
ADHD and neuro-spice
Over-thinkers, artists, and activists
Location and Fees
You have a busy, stressful life. Trying to fit therapy into your schedule doesn’t have to make it worse. I offer a variety of scheduling options to help make finding some you-time a little easier.
Days and Times
I offer in-person or Telehealth appointments Monday through Thursday. In-person sessions are available Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday (Telehealth only on Thursdays). My current availability is 11am- 6pm.
Office and Accessibility
My office is located in Oakland, near Piedmont Avenue and MacArthur (close to the Kaiser hospital). There are stairs to enter the building and one flight of stairs to the office.
Fees
Standard sessions for individuals are 50 minutes, for $190. Couples or individual sessions for 75 minutes are $285. While I do not accept insurance, I can provide a superbill to be submitted for reimbursement. I unfortunately do not have sliding scale appointments available at this time.
